How is FundWarden different from a regular trading journal?

Trading journals are passive — you log entries after the fact and review them later. FundWarden is active. The MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor talks to FundWarden every time a trade closes, and the moment you cross a rule you set, it fires unmissable red-screen alerts in MT5 itself, repeating every 2 seconds until you walk away. Your dashboard tracks discipline, not just P&L.

How does the MT5 Expert Advisor work?

The EA is a strictly read-only monitoring tool. It cannot place, close, or modify trades, and it cannot access account funds — it only reads your closed-trade history and sends a small payload (symbol, profit, lots, open/close time) to FundWarden. When the server detects you've crossed your line, it returns an alert payload that the EA renders as a MessageBox + sound + red banner across every open chart. There is also a 5-second-by-default repeating alert loop while you remain in breach.

Is FundWarden allowed by prop firms?

Yes. FundWarden is read-only — the EA does not place or modify orders, does not access account funds, and does not interfere with trading. It only reads your closed-trade history. Most major prop firms (FTMO, MyFundedFX, FundingPips, The Funded Trader, E8 Markets) allow read-only monitoring tools on demo and funded accounts. Always confirm with your firm's policy before installing on a funded account.

Do I need to be a funded trader to use FundWarden?

No. FundWarden works for traders at any prop-firm phase: evaluation, verification, or funded. Most users start during the evaluation phase to lock in the habits before money is on the line.

Where is my trading data stored?

Your trading data lives in a Supabase Postgres database in the Mumbai region, behind row-level security policies that scope every read to your authenticated user.
